Legacy athletics is a NON-PROFIT youth sports organization based in spartanburg, south carolina, dedicated to developing student-athletes through faith, discipline, and elite competition. we offer flag football, basketball, and soccer programs for middle and high school athletes, focusing on building strong character, leadership, and athletic excellence.

meet the founder’s

lamar and angela have always shared a deep passion for youth AND COMMUNITY. AS A MARRIED COUPLE Raising five children between them, they understand the impact of mentorship, structure, and opportunity in a young person’s life.

lamar has a strong background in sports and has spent 4 years of coaching aau highschool basketball and several years coaching his son and his team in flag-football and basketball. his experience both as a coach and a father fuels his desire to invest in the next generation of athletes - not just to win games, but to build character and confidence.

lamar and angela felt led to create legacy athletics when their teenage son struggled to find a football program in their county. that moment sparked a calling - not just to start a team, but to build something greater.

their goal is to create a christ-centered sports community where young athletes grow in leadership, discipline, and faith - both on and off the field.

together, they are building a legacy of excellence, purpose, and impact - one athlete at a time.
